Another revelation of this project in the potential resale value of chicken seasoning. I’d spotted the Maggi range when shortlisting for my last purchase, 2 for £1 seemed a good deal compared to the £3.44 individual resale.

Nothing else grabbed me on the shortlist this time, so I opted to buy 4 bags of flavouring. A scan of sold prices online showed that the Chicken Chasseur was the hot flavour, I figured if someone was willing to pay for 1 to be shipped, then the would be interested in stocking up on 4 – which was a quantity that you couldn’t get at present.
The four pack worked a treat, selling for £7.48. Again I publicised the item for extra cost, but the light weight product meant that shipping was £2.70, leading to a net profit of 99p! An almost 50% return on investment and a total bank of £3.09
When starting the project I thought it would be better to not buy the same item twice. It was this reason alone that I didn’t go back and purchase an entire shelf of stock to set up a chicken seasoning online empire. Instead it was back to the drawing board and shortlisting for a potential £3 purchase…
