Following on from the loss of the previous trade it was back to the drawing board. Luckily we were approaching Easter and there were some offers to be had with seasonal stock.
I was intrigued by the WWE figures, but looking online it seemed that having a set was the way to go, so any purchase would have to wait for a bigger budget. The Kipling cakes were nice, but just outside my budget after the last loss. In the end I went for the Haribo Eggs Galore sweet multipack. The risk around Easter was that it may bump sales in the lead up, but I did not want to be left in the boat of having an ‘Easter’ product after the event that becomes unsellable. I figured that sweets sell all year round so hopefully even if I didn’t hit the Easter rush they would still sell at some point.
As it turns out they did indeed sell prior to Easter for £5.98. Again I used a bit of budget to promote the item, but unlike the phone cases I didn’t list in 2 categories. All in all this was the best trade to date netting 71p profit, and bringing the bank up to a whopping £2.10!
